Information
This mod changes the colors of the radar/minimap to be the same as the old gen version while still keeping the additional details (buildings, roads, etc.) from the remastered version.
The minimaps for the Bolingbroke Penitentiary, Fort Zancudo, the Kortz Center (which can be enabled with the script) and of North Yankton from the old gen version are also included.
Requirements
OpenIV.asi.
Mods folder.
Script Hook V .NET. Note: required only for the script.
Installation
Move the "spminimap" folder in "mods\update\x64\dlcpacks" and add "<Item>dlcpacks:/spminimap/</Item>" to the "dlclist.xml".
Import the files from the "Minimap Textures" folder in "mods\update\update.rpf\x64\patch\data\cdimages\scaleform_generic.rpf" (build 2372 and below) or "mods\update\update.rpf\x64\data\cdimages\scaleform_generic.rpf" (build 2545 and above).
Import "minimap_main_map.gfx" from the "Minimap Scaleforms" folder in "mods\update\update.rpf\x64\patch\data\cdimages\scaleform_minimap.rpf".
Optional: move "SPMinimap.cs" from the "Minimap Script" folder in the "scripts" folder.

I love it, this old map is actually quite excellent. It's simple and still a nice beaut to look at.
Which is the script for the mappings of boilingbrook & fort zancudo? I can't find it

Great mod. Don't understand why R* decided to change the radar on next gen systems.
This is great, dunno why but with this radar mod and your old gen visual mod my game is much more beautiful than R*'s PS5 version. But I wonder why it seems like the script doesn't work. When I visited the military or the prison the map is still blank
@hiddenmask58 Make sure you have "ScriptHookVDotNet2.dll" in the main game folder.
If you have it, then upload the content of your "ScriptHookVDotNet.log" somewhere (like pastebin) and send me the link in the comment.
great mod but the left side of the map is the old gen version and the right side of the map is the new gen version
@scottxd31 Are you're using Map Fixes, make sure you download the lastest version (v9.6) and the latest one of this too.

@Alex106 Yeah but I think that one is bugged. I think I've tried it before and the map was blurry while it was completely zoomed out. Zoomed in a bit and it became sharp again.
@Themfolks That's not a bug, it's because the textures are lower res (512x512) compared to both the original NG ones and the ones from this mod (which are 1024x1024).

I have looked everywhere for a proper old gen small radar. The small radar hud with the black border from the 360 era. Here is a pic for reference.

There are only one or two last gen map mods that have it, but they are bugged or just don't look right. I think you should add this feature to your last gen radar/map. At least it will work correctly lol. What do you think? :)

That would be awesome to add to this mod. The other map mod I'm trying now is outdated and the small gps hud goes past the border. Also the border outline isn't dark enough like on the 360/ps3 version. Here is a pic..

You said you wanted to add it back, may I ask what the issue was with the gps hud for you to remove it? I've tried making it myself but I'm horrible at this type of modding lol.
@TrustNo1 Try using the "frontend.xml" from the Previous Generation HUD mod and see if the borders aligne properly.
As for adding back, i meant to the PC version and not to the mod. The mod never had the borders and the dark overlay.
