DESCRIPTION
This mod adds a feature from Need For Speed and GTA Chinatown Wars to the game, police cars have limited health and when no health the police car shuts down, so you can make takedowns.
Features:
- Custom health in the ini file,
- Shut down siren (can be disabled in the ini file),
- Smoke effect (can be disabled in the ini file),
- Custom health for individual vehicles (5 vehicles max).
Police car health in the first video: 50.
INSTALLATION
Put "PoliceCarEliminator.dll" and "PoliceCarEliminator.ini" in "scripts" folder.
CHANGELOG
1.1:
- rewrote script,
- added custom health for individual cop cars,
- added addon cop cars (now all cop cars are included),
- included commandeered vehicles (when a cop takes a civilian vehicle),
- fixed FPS drop (performance impact).
1.0:
- First release.

I really like this script because it incorporates the mechanics from the vangelico heist

was trying to find this mod the other day!
I just tested it. The concept and idea makes sense, it could be great. But in practice it just isnt working for me:
- Police car bumped me slightly from behind and it broke down. The cop just sits there and acts as if the car is working
- If the player uses one of the huge SWAT vehicles they are also incredibly weak now, cops shot at it a few times and it broke down immediately
Solution: Maybe to increase the health of police vehicles? I'll give it a shot next time and see. For now, I like the concept though.
Ok, just tried to bump up the health of the police cars to 200 then 300, this had minimal effect. For me, the police cars (all law enforcement vehicles) break down very quickly after just a few gun shots.
mod still having same issue as above
If you are looking for total realism this mod adds that. Once you fire a few shots, especially automatic not a single cop in this world will ever chase you. That is hollywood, or dashcam footage. This mod works 100%
With a busy gameconfig, adding a lot of cars to your traffic this naturally leads to police, police2 and police3 getting stuck in traffic and not showing up at all. For your realism call this luck.
All in all very beautiful mod, makes the game stupid easy, but does it really? Once you add some of the latest mods like conscioussnes, drugtrafficking and others the world of North America feels very real, where your biggest threat is not the police but literally any interaction can turn violent. I hate it, its fantastic.
