@F7YO thanks for your reply. :) you mentioned about if lods on vehicles are not done correctly the game will simply crash to desktop. would you say this is the main cause of game crashing or just one of them. thanks in advance.
@AlexUA6 And now I don't know about you though, but I will be sticking to modding gta iv instead of gta v as Rockstar keeps adding new technologies into the game which to put it in simple terms makes the game instantly crash upon loading into story mode.
@AlexUA6 I've started modding gta v back in 2016 and tried to mod the F****** ass out of gta v and for the past 7 years I've faced endless amounts of crashes & errors whilst wasting 7years of my life not to mention that I also lost out hours upon hours of sleep because of this when it came to modding gta v, I thought what would happen if I was to mod gta iv instead of gta v and what do I get in return you may ask??? no single crash whatsoever. When I found out that gta iv is infact the last ever gta series based game to have no restrictions when it comes to modding gta iv, I literally banged my head against the wall.
@All with loads of people on here having problems when trying to mod gta v over the last few months, this is just me speaking out loud though, but hear my out, if Rockstar nowadays are implementing many more restrictions into preventing mods even on single player of gta v, I personally have a sense that maybe just maybe again thinking out loud that people may end up resorting to modding gta iv instead of gta v where gta iv has next to no issues or problems when it comes to modding. bonus tip, if gta iv crashes then its the mod that crashed it NOT the game (atleast in my experience.). I know that gta iv is a bad pc port resulting in unstable FPS but my question to those who may resort to modding gta iv coming from gta v is... what would you rather have
A: unstable fps with next to no issues with modding (GTA IV)
or
B: Spend hours upon hours of trying to fix problems that occur when modding (GTA V)
I know which one i'll opt for.
@TangoB16 I haven’t yet added any addon vehicles, I only have replacement vehicles, replacement peds & replacement weapons + about 15 to 20 addon map edits many vegetation based.
@F7YO thanks again for your responses, much appreciated :)

@terminatingissue66 @F7YO it was only because when this mod was released back in the early days of modding https://web.archive.org/web/20161220155721/https://www.gta5-mods.com/misc/gta-5-gameconfig-300-cars this gameconfig was intended for add-on limitless vehicles however replacement vehicles didn't need this back then, so just wanting to clarify if this is still the same or nowerdays this is a requirement for both addon and replacement mods. thanks again in advance.
@F7YO quick question, is this gameconfig needed for both addon mods and/or replacement mods or just for addon mods? thanks in advance

@TangoB16 did the game crash before merging?
