This is might be the best guide for GTA Modding ever, love the cover works and the guide itself, so detailed and easy to understand. It's like Rockstar from other dimension, and they support modding, this might the quality you might get from them
11/10
@F7YO Thank you sir and thank you for your dedication to gameconfig.xml mods for our community.
@JohnFromGWN, why did you delete it bro? Script mejorado para compañeros del ejército.
@VICTOR RIVERA Hubo muy pocas descargas. Para mí, eso significaba que la comunidad no estaba interesada. Creo que todos los mods impopulares deberían eliminarse.
@JohnFromGWN Apologies wrong mod comments.
Nooooooooooo! I see your other mods have vanished.
Did someone break the rules again and in need of a damn good spanking?
I was just about to get your latest update for Create Ped Scenes, I am on version 4 atm.
@gtavjamal In Japan, there is a puzzle painting class that teaches to make amazing paints with puzzles. Once the puzzle is completed, they are instructing to destroy the puzzle to teach them not to attach on something for too long. You think @JohnFromGWN might be one of those instructors by any chance? 🥺🥺 I mean I definitely see a resemblance 🙈😅😅
@MissySnowie Haha alternatively I am thinking the mods of JohnFromGWN will one day become like the lost treasure of Atlantis! Both legendary and prized possessions to anyone lucky enough to acquire them. In every collectible hobby there are always the rare items, rare cards etc which is the case here too. It's a good thing JohnFromGWN is a computer whiz because chances are hackers will be trying to steal all his goodies!
@gtavjamal BTW, my scripts have been uploaded, without permission, to many other GTA V mod sites. I don't care if they do that but I don't recommend downloading from these sites given the scripts may have been altered, they may contain malicious code. Keep in mind also that anti-virus or VirusTotal are for viruses, which doesn't necessarily include malicious code. If you're comfortable using a decompiler, you can verify the code is safe. If not, stay away.

@MissySnowie @gtavjamal
A long time ago, when the Forums were active - the forums removed "for our security", I had once posted that there was too much crap uploaded and suggested if mods were not being downloaded they should be removed.
The suggestion was not well received. I guess quantity is more important than quality and we live in a world where participation rules rather than merit.
All that to say, I stand by what I wrote a few years back. I think the script was a good one but the community didn't share that opinion (low download count) so I removed it. Let's face it, the popular scripts are anything related to Heists and Hot Coffee. A Hot Coffee Heist would receive millions of downloads.
Why clutter the script pages? The Guides I prepared, on the other hand, appear to be well received, because they fill a need for new modders on how to get started and most importantly how to troubleshoot - without endlessly searching through millions of YouTube videos, some very good, but most very bad and outdated.
@JohnFromGWN The other site uploaders generally only do the initial release they rarely seem to bother with updates.
I hear you regarding the cluttering however you know your work is always quality so cluttering doesn't apply to you and popularity doesn't necessarily equate to quality or good taste.
I cant think of the names off the top of my head but there are a few scripts I could tell were good and useful but were over my head to use and I didn't have the need for them at the time but If I ever did it was good to know they were there.
Also many of my favorite scripts were posted years before I joined so always dope af to discover,
Anyway it's totally your call what you wish to share but just know that all your stuff is always on point and much appreciated!
@gtavjamal Once more thank you for the kind words. I'm going to continue work on the Ped Scene Creator, for my personal use, but I realize now that most people are using Menyoo for a similar purpose which is understandable. More and more I'm moving away from Menyoo and writing my own scripts, but the Object Spooner function is still amazing and that's why the original Menyoo is still the best trainer IMO.
@JohnFromGWN I understand. While I agree with you, I also would like to say that low download count doesn't necessarily equal to low quality.
The download count is mostly based on the personal preferences of the narrative and the discoverability.
To say the least, there are many good mods on the sites, but they just not for me. I like them, but for;
1, game has limitations, so can't install every mod I came across and liked,
2, my SSD is also fairly limited,
3, it just wouldn't be for me.
And like I said, the other reason is discoverability. If you pump out new mods in short intervals, it will reach out to more people, if you upload here and there like me, the audience will be much less.
It's kinda a bit like YouTube. There are some channels I came across, that literally make me feel "The Lucky One" 🎰. They are heavily underrated and I feel sorry for everyone else who will never know the existence of such gems 💎 And it would be very saddening for me if they were to gone inactive. Although it's more related to the YT's algorithm, still show some resemblance to discoverability here.
I would respect your decision either way of course, but you need to account some unforeseable situations as well, that are out of your control. The quality can't be calculated simply with download/view count.
My humble suggestion, if I may, you can instead make a mod page here where you upload your scripts in bulk, rather than creating separate mod pages for each of them. That would still prevent clutter while allowing others to download them from the trusted source 👍🏻
That being said, I also saw many very low effort uploads get rejected too. Most people just don't bother to knock on 5mods discord, which tells me the actual count is higher. But of course, they are also trying not to discourage the beginners either so ..
@MissySnowie Fully agree about low download count not necessarily correlating with mod/script quality. My remark was more about the horrible peds uploaded regularly in the past (and still today) that nobody downloaded - and for good reason. I haven't seen one even semi-decent ped mod since alex189 left the scene, which is very sad.
The scripts i write are based on my preferences, the way I play and they way i like my UI. This is highly personal and of course may or may not click with other users. I share these scripts but when I see the uptake is slow or just plain poor, I feel (right or wrong) that they just become "clutter".
As @gtavjamal alluded, there are great scripts and great peds that new users will likely never see, even if they filter by most downloaded (which is heavily biased for the earliest years), for the simple reason that they are buried deep in a huge pile of scripts.
Like any normal distribution, if we assume the mean is "just average, nothing special", then 50% of mods are basically garbage. If we no look at the top 5% of the curve, good luck finding them.
@JohnFromGWN It's good we all agree that your mods...
1. Are always quality (therefore quality can't clutter the site)
2. In this instance download count isn't correlated with quality.
If we only had high download scripts on the site the script variety would suck ass.
The only quality control judgment that counts objectively is the site admins approving mods. Weather that's considered a low ball standard is subjective and essentially irrelevant because beyond that it's simply user preference since we only download what we like.
Even without your mods that wont make any real difference to the existing perceived clutter on the site.
Unless a mod is brand new and displayed as a latest file I never search page by page, instead always via Google so cluttering isn't really an issue in the functional sense imho. Unless of course in future we had like for example 10,000 terrible Deadpool peds and only 5 good ones but fortunately that's not the case atm lol.
Anyway...
Again totally your call whatever you wish to share and thanks again!
PS. Not to go off on a tangent but just on the subject of issues with some new scripts. Excluding scripts that require the latest SHVDN or game version to run and wont work without, what grinds my gears is those new scripts which don't require the latest updates yet the authors make them so they do effectively encouraging great older scripts by MIA authors to become obsolete and the same will eventually happen with their own scripts unless updated. Unless we are computer whiz's like yourself and can work some magic we either have to forgo the new or old scripts or resort to multiple GTA V games which is frustrating bs.
@gtavjamal Thanks bruh. On your last points, could not agree more. Developers who don't make the effort to make the scripts backwards compatible are either lazy, posers, or both. GTA V is an old game and its native functions do not change dramatically over time.
The native functions changes are very well documented so it would also be nice for SHV and SHVDN to ensure that deprecated or not, the functions are still accommodated rather than made obsolete. Unfortunately that's not always the case and explains why many old scripts no longer work. Personally I don't care because I live in 2372 and work with SHV for 2372 but with SHVDN 3.6 (not the nightly build). I have tested my own scripts on the most current GTA V builds and have yet to find a problem with this approach.
@JohnFromGWN Exactly!!
It's all beyond my head but would be ideal if SHV / SHVDN were able to tackle the issue at the core.
There have been a few new devs I raised it with and they were happy to make their script mods backwards compatible but most refuse to.
A few new devs are even deluded and arrogant to think users will only use their scripts exclusively lol.
Obsolete mods help kill the hobby in that sense, essentially putting a use by date on each script mod which is retarded, the opposite of preservation.
My #1 favorite mod for example BTTFV requires SHVDN 3.5.1. Will not work properly on later versions.
I too live in 2372 for all my GTAV different themed versions, it has all I need without extra bs.
@JohnFromGWN A main page with all your script together can still avoid clutter. Since no matter how many you upload, it will show as single mod in the searches and lists, but they can individually be downloaded under the All Versions thingy.
You can use the name of the script as Version, and hide the older versions as new ones get updated. It would work for everyone's benefit ✨ I was actually going to do it that way for my animations but I ended up moving to modelling 🍌 Hoppy Easter by the by 😊🐰🐣
@MissySnowie Good suggestion. Going to take a break from scripting I think and spend more time on Stable Diffusion and generative AI. You too Happy Hoppy Easter.
@JohnFromGWN Thanks for the update!
Btw. If those 2 women in the pic were peds personally I would mod their noses to be streamlined and pointy with minimal upturn but I get some prefer that bulbous upturned tip look, all subjective of course. An example of a good female nose is Megan Fox (post surgery not before) imho.
@gtavjamal You definitely have a nose for detail. These were rendered with Stable Diffusion and an SDXL checkpoint in ForgeUI....all that means is that you have only so much control on facial features without post processing...but I think they're very nice ladies, but yep, Megan is Queen.
@JohnFromGWN Thanks but I don't nose much nor would I say I have a nose for detail but what I do nose for sure is that you nose a lot and not to be nosey but I am guessing anyone who nose you personally would consider you the go-to guru and would say JFG always nose what to do.
I am no nose expert but apparently that type of nose among other things suggests a kind person, alternatively that shape of nose can also be due to boxing.
As for Megan Fox's nose it's more than likely she already nose that almost everyone nose that her nose is considered a textbook perfect female nose, she does have a very nice nose but again everyone nose that. As for those who don't nose that Megan has such a great looking nose then perhaps after reading this they may take a close look at Megan Fox's nose and realize yes she does indeed have a perfect looking female nose. However like many things it's all subjective so who really nose.
