Maybe this will also works on intel cpus, i dont know
This script will fix an issue with amd ryzen 1th/2nd gen processors. I dont know if everyone who use this processor have this issue, but if you have this issue heres a fix.
if you have a decent gaming pc and never experienced this issue, this may not change anything.
this issue decrease fps to 50-60 when looking city/or sandy shores at night, this happen with some ryzen processors.
So this script fix this issue, then you have 75-100fps rather than 50-60 fps(pictures), and this just disable/enable some far lights(lodlights) with a good enough timming, so this script allow more performance with few visual changes.
Requirements:
-ScripthookV.
-This works on a legit Gta V copy.
Install:
Just drop "Ryzenlightsfix.asi" in your "Grand Theft Auto V" main folder.
Thats all.
V0.1: initial release
V0.2: fixed issue
V0.3: added feature that disable some far lod lights.
V0.4: removed feature of V0.3(unstable), added cayo perico map lod lights(if cayo perico map is enabled)
V0.5: fixed an issue (issue:script disable itself when change character).

i have maybe a better idea to fix this issue, but since i changed my computer (i dont have a ryzen now), so if you use a ryzen cpu and want to beta test my script, send me a pm :)
thank you for creating this script. it really fixed fps in some areas, but fps drops still persist. during daylight i get stable 60 fps
THANKS FOR YOUR WORK!!! i have a ryzen 5600x and i was getting 50 fps on night time bruh, now i get 80+ all the time. is there any way i can make this fix work for gta online? have you thought into send this fix to Rockstar like the guy that fixed the load times? i'll be waiting for your answer!
@party617 No i didnt find a serious way to send them a message, but the issue is related to lodlights, so those lodlights(ipl) are enabled at night, and i dont know why but with my old ryzen computer(r7 1700x) i had this issue(now i changed to a smaller intel pc after a gpu issue) , not everyone have this issue so its very strange.
@thebegin10 Will this help me I have a intel i5 9400f cpu, geforce 1660 6gb Graphics card with 24 Gb or ram
Thank you so much man, you did an amazing job! I can finally enjoy playing GTA V at night on a R5 2600. One little thing, though, do you think you can update the script so it will be active during evening and sunrise as well? Performance still drops around 19:00 and until 10:00 or so. Or maybe release the source code, if you cannot work on it anymore? Much appreciated!
@kingneak85 honestly i cant tell, im playing with vsync now and i changed my platform to intel(because wanted a smaller pc), but your spec are very good for vsync, and this fps drop issue seems not related to intel cpus, but only to ryzen 1st and 2nd gen, nothing related to amd but i think its an issue with game optimization that rockstar didnt fix at ryzen launch. so this will unfortunately not help you, but whats your issue exactly?
@66samhain Ty, yes i think i can but need to find my source code ^^', if i find it i will change this and will try to add more improvments because there is an issue with "mp maps" too^^'. So when you enable "mp maps" with simple trainer for example, some other lod lights appear and my script seems useless with this option enabled.
@thebegin10 Having issues with fps dropping at night time.
@kingneak85 i dont think this is the same issue, this issue im fixing is a huge fps drop issue, check 2nd picture(even if you play at 720p fps drop the same way), my script doesnt affect day time, if you check 1st picture you see 80fps with the fix but at day it was 115fps(with and without script) if i remenber, so a small fps decrease at night is predictable. Now i have an intel system and its the same, fps decrease at night but not drop/sttutering when looking at city at night, maybe its just an issue with parameters in your case, try to reduce to 720p to see if your issue disapear and if you issue dissapear, just decrease some parameters(like ultra settings).
Does this work with the Epic Store version of the game or only Steam? Assuming I put the file in the right folder, it didn't seem to do anything unfortunately with the Epic Store version. It's in the "GTAV" folder, and the same location as "GTA5.exe". I've the game installed on a storage SSD, not the main SSD with the operating system, in case that makes any difference to this mod's functionality.
I've been having the GTA5 night performance issue. My PC is almost the same as a family member who doesn't have the issue, only differences are RAM being a different brand, CPU being Ryzen 3600 and motherboard being MSI Gaming Plus Max.
I've the non-Max version of the same mobo and was using a Ryzen 2700x, both of us had RX 580 8GB VRAM and 16GB RAM. I've since upgraded to a Ryzen 5600 with an RX 6600 XT, but the issue persists. I get drops as low as 50 fps at night but if I turn around I'll get something like 110 to 180+ fps depending on settings and location.
I wouldn't mind beta testing your new script for this mod btw.
Okay I was wrong this actually does work, I didn't notice I needed to install ScripthookV as well. It's amazing how well it runs now. So yeah confirmed this mod works for Ryzen 5600. I noticed you've said that the issue does not occur on Ryzen 3600, and I've witnessed this as I helped build a PC for someone else that has a 3600, and tested this game, and yep, this issue did not exist.
I really wish ScripthookV was allowed in GTA Online, R* should make your fix an official part of the game!
@NoobLearninGame Hi, thanks for your reply thats very interesting, so in some case, some ryzen 5600 are also affected, thanks to your reply i dont think this issue is related to cpu, so there is something else.
@NoobLearninGame also tried several builds in past, ryzen 1700X/ryzen 2600 with different b350/b450 motherboard and different ram(2666mhz ram and 3000mhz) single rank only(didnt tried dual rank ram), and the issue was always here, maybe some game files are wrong, but if i remenber i already tried to reinstall/download the game.
What a life saver. If somehow u have even better ideas to fix this I'm ecstatic
Ryzen 5900x here.Thank you for making this Mod!
Is there any Chance in talking to Rockstar about this fix?
This issue is driving me crazy.
So i tested a 5900x as well as a 5800x3D.
Both of them are affected from this weird bug and your mod fixed it. Is there any possibility to do this without a straight up mod? So that one could play online with a fixed game.
Thank you very much, it is working perfect, i was really thinking abaut selling my pcs with 5900X & 6900xt
Ryzen 5600x here. This mod does exactly what it says. It is a very strange bug. Usually FPS drops are accompanied by either you CPU or GPU being pegged at max usage, but in this strange case FPS just drops while CPU is being used at only around 50-70% for the main core, 9% overall. GPU has nothing to do so it actually starts downclocking itself. This mod has a small impact on distant light appearance just like the pics show, but it is well worth it for the massive FPS gains.
I have to report an issue that has started to happen recently. I get an endless loading screen when leaving a garage. I removed every other ASI file, script and mod until I found out this file was the culprit. Just in case someone else runs into the same problem. Other than that, the mods seems to work just fine.
